What do you expect when your thread is based on a faulty premise?
News flash: You'll wait months here to see a specialist and schedule surgery as well. And if it's an emergency, you get surgery right away, but you still take what you can get.
Since the enactment of Obamacare and the mandate that insurance companies must cover pre-existing conditions, foreigners are flooding to the US seeking health care. Here's how it works - word for word from my insurance agent. They are making money hand-over-fist because of this.
Let's say the person needs some serious medical care which would have cost him $1,000,000 before, but:
1. He comes to the US and signs up with an insurance company for a low copay and low deductible plan.
2. He pays the premium of $1500/month - the insurance company can't turn him down because of his pre-existing condition.
3. He goes to see the doctors, gets treatments, rakes up a huge amount of medical bills.
4. The doctors and hospitals bill the insurance company and the insurance company pays the bills.
So, if the treatments last a year, this guy would be out $1500x12 + copay+deductable - a hell of less than the $1,000,000 he planned to spend.
I'll let you guess who the suckers are.
Special thanks to Obama, Biden, and democrats.
Name one other country that denies treatment and or insurance coverage for pre-existing conditions.
Are you saying nobody comes to the US seeking medical treatment?
No, what I am saying is most do not come here for medical treatment because their country does not offer medical care for their citizens. Most nations do not, and did not refuse treatment for existing conditions. Most come here for treatment because they are wealthy enough to see a particular specialist. Most own property in the US and live here on a part time basis and have the resources for treatment. Many Americans leave the US for treatment for the same reasons. It was the US that lagged behind other nations when it pertained to pre-existing condition clauses.

Literally the only major country without universal healthcare is.....us.
They would be better off going to Canada.
My daughter had a special education student whose family is here illegally. The child was non-verbal, had a trach, a hospital bed at home, along with ventilators and associated medications. My daughter visited her at home (she attended school only periodically) twice weekly until she died unexpectedly just last week at the age of 10.
Her family paid nothing. They have no money.
I can cite cases of major heart surgery for people who never paid and could not pay.
America already has universal healthcare. We just don't call it that.

Correct. We call it Medicare, VA care, Medicaid, Indian Health Services.
So you are saying we should eliminate the pre-existing clause? In the middle of a Pandemic where Millions now have a pre-existing condition? We are ar 32 million cases of Covid in the USA, that is 32 million people with a NEW pre-existing condition in 2020 alone.
Do you think insurance companies wouldn't do their best to use Covid as a reason to deny claims 5,10,15, 20 years from now? I make a living off my insurance billing and I will be the first to say they are scumbags and would kill their mothers off to prevent paying 2 cents for their medical care (Corporation not individual in case this is not understood).
Talk about cutting off your nose despite your face, this is one of the dumbest takes on a situation, not even thinking of the ramification of eliminating pre-existing coverage to American citizens.

Irrelevant.
If you want to spew your nonsense, please open your own thread and I am happy to debate it with you there.
Because the US has the best medical care in the world!
No.
It's the most expensive one in the world, but as for quality - it's on par with, say, Zimbabwe or some other African no-name "country".
Germany, Russia, Italy, South Korea, even China are light years ahead of US for the quality of the medical care. And yes, this is first-hands information.
