George Floyd might not have died if he had friends who set a good example and steered him right. Until he was dead his only friends were the hood rats.
And that is the tragedy. I know because I was not on a good path, and got straightened out.

If someone leads the police on a high speed chase and someone dies, is the cop a murderer?
I think it's pretty clear the victims in these cases have symbolic value, rather than representing some sort of human ideal. They're martyrs for a political cause.
