SMH. If this is what you call leadership, we are in a lot of trouble. They can't even call a spade a spade... No doubt this was tragic but why then follow up with this: "We know that police violence disproportionately impacts Black and Latino people and communities and that Black women and girls like Black men and boys experience higher rates of police violence."
WHY???
This had zero to do with racism or police violence towards blacks, it had everything to do with keeping those people around the knife wielding girl safe. Anyone who can't see this or wont admit this is causing more harm than good!
We can understand this because we have common sense. Biden and his Buddies are pushing and pushing the narrative that all cops are inherently racists with itchy trigger fingers looking for an opportunity to blow away a black person.
It is disgusting. Are we missing Trump yet? At least he was on the side of law and order and would accuse the resisting criminal of inviting the Police to stop them.
Biden is pushing this racist narrative but we need to ask what the end goal is. What are the Democrats hoping will happen by dividing the country and demonizing all Police officers?
The officer shot four times so his intent was to kill, not decapacitate the girl. It is a reasonable question of whether or not he would have killed or just decapacitated if the girl was white.
Do you honestly think Cops don't shoot and kill white people? They do..
I’m sure in the end this guy will somehow be charged with something. Likely excessive force for the over shooting but certainly there’s no race issue here

In fact, cops are more reluctant to shoot a black than a white, knowing how leftists will scream racist and the progressives will riot and burn before all the facts are even out.
The fact that the first poster even thinks it’s reasonable to introduce racism into this proves it.

Of a lot of head scratching things I've heard in the last 5 years or so, this one is one of the most bewildering and damaging. I now have no doubt Joe Biden isn't running this administration, it's his younger "woke" staff coming up with this kind of crap. I have been on the fence about voting GOP in the next round of elections to send a message, after that statement, i'm pulling the lever.
Life long Dem voter, Biden voter. This nonsense has to stop.

I don’t see how it was excessive. The criminal ignored the police command to stop and was within seconds of bludgeoning someone to death. It was a legitimate shoot.
Did he shoot her just before she attempted to stab the girl or after she was pushed away?
If you watch NBC version there was no knife and no attempted stabbing.
And that is because they edited it out of the video they are showing to Americans.
They should have sent a social worker with a clipboard.
