The officer shot four times so his intent was to kill, not decapacitate the girl. It is a reasonable question of whether or not he would have killed or just decapacitated if the girl was white.
Ok, first of all the word you are looking for is incapacitate. And secondly, unlike in the movies, that doesn’t work in real life. You don’t just magically shoot the knife out of the girls hand. That Clint Eastwood stuff doesn’t work in real life. You shoot until the threat is neutralized plain and simple. Shooting her in the leg or whatever wouldn’t have stopped her continuing to try to stab the other girl. It wouldn’t have stopped her in her tracks. With the adrenaline already coursing thru her veins she likely wouldn’t have even felt the bullet hit her in the leg. In a dangerous situation like that you shoot until the threat ceases. Plain and simple.
Of a lot of head scratching things I've heard in the last 5 years or so, this one is one of the most bewildering and damaging. I now have no doubt Joe Biden isn't running this administration, it's his younger "woke" staff coming up with this kind of crap. I have been on the fence about voting GOP in the next round of elections to send a message, after that statement, i'm pulling the lever.

I’m impressed with the skill and quick wits of that cop. Think about it. He arrived on a scene with a bunch of people acting like rapid animals, with a grown man going after a teen girl in the foreground, and within 2 seconds the cop was able to zoom in on the girl presenting the immediate life-threat, aim, and kill the criminal while the victim was immediately adjacent.

Did he shoot her just before she attempted to stab the girl or after she was pushed away?
She was pushed away? Hmmm, did you pause the body cam video, and step it one 60th of a second at a time, to create a frame where you thought she was being pushed away? Or was it the bullets hitting her that did that?
