America. You could not force me to renounce my precious US citizenship, something that 40% of the world’s 8 billion people would give anything to have. Give that up? Are you kidding me?

I am going down with the ship. There is no place else to go.

If you are considering "renouncing" your citizenship - I'd have to ask if you've ever traveled. I have been many places in the world, and you can dismiss probably 80% of them as even superficially superior in someway to (most of) the USA.
We have food and running water after all. Fresh water. And lots of it. This is a huge feature, I like it alot.

So I'll assume that after you "renounce" you'll move to the handful of countries that will have you. If you think racism is bad here - try being a different race in - well - just dozens of nations whose policies are "official" and not just a handful of bigoted morons that live here. Head for the middle east, and see how far your LGBTQ parade makes it. Or independence of women and children.

You really have but two choices: Europe, or Canada - both charming in their ways. But the premise in the OP was this:

"I believe taxes will be through the roof." HA!!!! You have not seen taxes "through the roof" until you've been to Europe or Canada.

The case can (rightly) be made that the tax dollars supply things we don't have (for "free"), health insurance a prime example - but adding up the taxes vs my "out of pocket" - eh, it's about the same. It's really a huge advantage for that part of society who simply can't afford either - so it's where your heart lies.

I'm just pointing out - "the grass is always greener" - ain't true, in the case of leaving the USA. For folks who are quite wealthy, and unlikely to be burdened or bothered by taxes, it might work. But even then - you'll have to contend with those European "deadbeats" who are on vacation A LOT - which is great for them - but not so great if you like your stuff RIGHT FLIPPING NOW as is common here (USA).

The demise of America has been predicted many times before, and every time we end up leading the world out of whatever mess it's in. This time it may mean leading the world into a new economy not based on fossil fuels. But I don't care if you or anyone thinks we're "#1". This isn't a pissing contest.

My main point is that the policies you bemoan are the result of a free and fair election. If you can't stomach those changes, and don't have more attractive alternatives, then I guess you can leave the country, as you suggest.
