We're going down a scary path where we're quickly accepting two standards or conduct in this country. I'm really gobsmacked at how fast and how much things are changing and not in a good way.

I'm totally down for an article from a respectable historian that makes the comparison.

Feel free to link one.

No, nothing from Jim Bakker or Alex Jones or some dude selling some new book or gizmo.

Is this sign official? I doubt it. So if some exercised their right to free speech, your issue is that you didn't like their free speech?

well, I guess they are only hurting their own cause, whatever that might be.

I don't think they need to worry too much about white people visiting the George Floyd memorial.

When they tell you to "decenter yourself" when visiting their shrine, they are placing George Floyd at the center of your universe as you look to the shrine they have erected, as they claim that to be sacred ground. Claiming god status, while seeking followers who can never line up, eternally off center.

I will look to the true center of the Universe or One Verse and line up with that, plumb true relativity.

Those who follow BLM can seek to place George Floyd between God and man and unleash that spirit all they want.

I choose not to stand between God and mankind.

That's a lousy reason.

It is almost like me saying, "one man raped a woman, all men should be viewed as potential racists."

Many of you in this thread sound like enablers. A bad behavior is a bad behavior. Two wrongs don't make one right. There is a big difference between enabling and empowering. This rule is ridiculous.

If a person (white, black, brown, yellow, purple) wanted to pay respect, let him/her be. If he/she behaved poorly, then deal with it then and there. Problem solved.

The "rules" are just someone's idea of free speech. They aren't official rules.
