Former Minneapolis police officers Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, & J. Alexander Kueng face charges at trial on August 23, 2021. Should the jury be sequestered, & the trial held in a faraway venue?

What about the trial for the Minneapolis police officer who fatally shot Daunte Wright during a traffic stop? Sequestered jury, also not held in a Minneapolis court room?

No doubt the jury was intimidated. There should be a mistrial and if there is, Chauvin needs to testify about the 9+ minutes and what was in his head.

My wife said if she were on the jury, she would have voted to convict even if she thought him innocent to save the nation for more destruction. I might have done the same but I'm a bit of a purist on the law and stubborn as hell so I might have hung up the jury if I had thought him innocent but even I would have been tempted to vote for the greater good to sacrifice 1 life whose actions were at least highly questionable.

But you’re deflecting from the point: that jurors felt pressured to convict, spurred on by Waters’ encouragement of violence if the murder charge was acquitted and fear that leftist hate groups would destroy their properties.

Apparently Lisa Christiansen is saying she would have voted guilty if she hadn't been dismissed.

Other folks are apparently voting for absolute immunity for police officers, as opposed to qualified immunity because it's simply impossible for them to have a fair trial.
Well, that's different from the way the right wing rag wants it's gullible readers to perceive things. Shocking. And the gullible right wingers are just like, yeah cool, the misrepresentation is how I want to see things...also shocking (not).

Ultimately, one does not stand on another's throat for nine minutes unless one intends to kill. Whether that juror made the right decision for the right reason or wrong reason, the right decision was made. Having said that, it's extremely unfortunate that the modern "news" media (and even with quotation marks, that's a huge stretch) finds itself willing to use mafia tactics to get what it wants out of the populace. Had that juror made the "wrong choice," she'd have no doubt been dead pronto.

She is an idiot. Her thoughts and opinions means nothing since she was not one of the 12 to actually render the verdict.

Secondly, much the same way people keep saying Floyd got what he got because he resisted arrest....regardless of the fact that Chauvin didn't follow proper police procedure (as testified to by his boss). Then the same can be said about the verdict. Chauvin got what he got because he put himself in that situation (whether the jury followed proper procedure and voted based only on the facts of the case). Had Chauvin not not knelt on Floyd's neck for nearly 10 minutes (on video no less) he wouldn't be waking up in a maximum security prison cell. Actions have consequences as you people kept saying. Time for Chauvin to take some personal responsibility.

Hope the IRS tacks on a few more years for tax evasion too.
