You may be unaware of this but films still get made, actors still work & get paid, media still goes on, all of this regardless of Oscar ratings. You guys seem to think it won’t. The joke is on you, not Hollywood.
But these streaming services show Hollywood films...it’s not like the only place you watch Hollywood movies is a theater, like in 1950.
And the Oscars aren’t just for movies made in Hollywood...can be made anywhere in the US or even other countries.
I think the Hollywood thing just dates back to when almost all movies were made by a few studios many years ago.
Yeah..thats true. But there are so many original movies and TV series made by streaming channels now. Almost all the shows I am watching are originals from Amazon or Netflix.

It is not I who holds Hollyweird in importance they seem to think that their opinions hold sway over Americans the ratings show their true importance which in nonexistent

There will ABSOLUTELY be changes.
Hollywood is tanking. Streaming mediums are killing it, the box office is abysmal, and people are tuning out their woke preaching at breakneck speeds.
These award shows used to get 80 and 90 million viewers back in the 70s and 80s. This show got under 10 million last night.
Obviously people don't care about Hollywood anymore.
