I don't see why he should not be served on a bike. Bikes take the lane even in active traffic...why not in a drive-through?

Pay a fair wage and those restaurants will have applicants.

I’m seeing ads for cashier’s at Dunkin Donuts for $17.50 an hour, and they still aren’t getting filled. Do you think a teenager should get paid $50,000 a year to grab a donut out of a case and tell the customer to swipe his credit card?

There are 5 restaurants within two miles of my house that are offering $17 per hour to start. They aren't getting applicants. The local McDonald's is offering $13 to start. No applicants.

The current lack of employees is not due to low wages.

Nice antidote. However, you may want to check your math.

Nah, the free stuff folks are far more interested in sitting on the couch and waiting for checks.

Employees can't afford to work. It costs money to work. After factoring in work, transportation, and childcare expenses, some employees were literally making more money staying home even than working, even without considering unemployment income. That's why many parents have decided to stay at home rather than return to the workforce. Employers need to actually pay people if they want them to work for them.

$13/hr is not a living wage. Employers need to pay enough to attract employees.

In Florida, minimum wage is $8.65 per hour. The direct minimum wage for tipped employees is $5.63 per hour.

Considering how cheap those seniors in Florida are, I'll bet they don't tip enough for their "early bird" dinner to cover a waitstaff's gas to go to work that day.
