What an embarrassing display. Honestly. From start to finish this guy was a textbook turd. He’s drunk, he’s wrecked his car, he’s got a gun sitting loose in his center console, his passenger is injured, he refuses to give his ID, he physically resists arrest, and makes clear-as-day “Do you know who I am?” threats.
Man, they just don’t come any stupider than this.

If his governor wasn't in the news/high profile he might have gotten away with it in the past even with the paper work disappearing andd charges never being pursued.
I forget the name but there was a town in Masschussetts that was actually asking police academy applicants would they let a supervisor get away with drunk driving and the unofficial correct/expected answer was yes.
He's a bright one, the Governor has no authority over those policeman. It would have been more sensible (but still stupid) to say he was calling that town's Mayor or Police chief.
