Authorities in Michigan released dashcam footage of Dem state Rep. Jewell Jones resisting arrest and telling cops he’ll call fellow Dem Gov. Gretchen Whitmer if they didn’t let him go:

Cops were responding to reports of an erratic driver and Jones had driven his car into a ditch, injuring an unknown female passenger. Full video here:

Hopefully he gets prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

I think that's the guy that told the police he controlled their budget and would they would lose their jobs. Along with playing the who I know card.

This is a lie. No way he is still alive.

Blacks ALWAYS are killed by cops when misbehaving.

Edit: LOL his pants were down.

What an embarrassing display. Honestly. From start to finish this guy was a textbook turd. He’s drunk, he’s wrecked his car, he’s got a gun sitting loose in his center console, his passenger is injured, he refuses to give his ID, he physically resists arrest, and makes clear-as-day “Do you know who I am?” threats.

Man, they just don’t come any stupider than this.

He pretty much did everything you are told not to do when stopped by the police.

Actually, the Texas GOP rep handled it quite differently. He didn’t resist arrest. He didn’t make threats. He immediately put out a press release blaming himself and only himself for his terrible decision-making.

“Last night I was driving under the influence of alcohol and involved in a minor automobile accident in Montgomery County," Huberty, who has been a member of the Texas House since 2011, posted Saturday on Facebook. "Fortunately, no one was seriously injured. I regret my actions and apologize to my constituents and my family. I am seeking treatment options to begin today”.

This isn’t a competition, and there are no points handed out for drunk driving. There are however ideas of decency and self-responsibility, and Huberty clearly has a better idea of these concepts than Jones.

So he played the old "Do you know who I am!" card.

I hope they did and they didn't care. You break the law you face the consequences.
