American embassies and consulates around the world are now authorized to fly the rainbow flag on the same pole as the U.S. flag, according to reports.
The action by Secretary of StateAntony J. Blinken reserves a Trump administration move that rejected requests from embassies to display the pride flag in June, when Pride Month is celebrated, The New York Times reported, citing a cable and department official.
Under Blinken's authorization, the flag can be displayed before May 17, the International Day Against Homophobia and Transphobia, through the end of June.
I know. But I feel it's signaling to Americans. Does nothing for citizens of other countries to see the flag. Well, maybe a few countries in western europe.

Or you're being overly sensitive and snowflaky about the whole thing. Flags went across the world and you think all the gay folk across the ENTIRE 1st world countries are worried about the USA feelings, or YOUR feelings? HAHAHAAHA
We are one self-centered country that can seem so clueless given what the USA has accomplished.
Clinton/Bush/Obama admins left it up to ambassadors discretion.
I was in living/working in Tel Aviv in the 2011-2014 timeframe, and saw the large pride flag go up under the national ensign at our embassy there several times. There was also rainbow flood lamps illuminating the side of the U.S. embassy at night.
Trump stopped all that and said no other flags will fly with the national ensign (it was not just restricted to pride flags, although it was widely reported that way...)
Some embassies (like Tel Aviv) simply hung huge pride banners up instead:

Ok, I have no idea what you are saying or what I am supposed to be sensitive about or what snowflake means.
