Saw one report where they were going to lose their pensions. Some reports have the letter described as a warning, not a threat. Trying to make an example of them could martyr them to various factions in France.

They are to face a Military Court according to the latest media reports.

French soldiers to face military court over letter warning of ‘civil war’ - The Guardian

The last time the French Army revolted was in 1961 and was due to the withdraw from Algeria, which they opposed. As of the generals' putsch against part of the French government in 1961, the 10th Parachute Division and 25th Parachute Division of the French Army were disbanded including the 1st Foreign Parachute Regiment (1er REP) of the Foreign Legion.

Meh...
The Generals did a such a great job of pulling out of Algeria?

The louts ought to keep their mouths shut and stick to drilling the troops.
Macron may be a mess, but they're a bigger mess.

The French know how to deal with treasonous generals...lock them up like they did Pétain. Fort du Portalet is apparently being restored; it would work well.

Maybe they could overthrow Biden, the pretender, after they are done in France.

Do these generals have valid concerns or not?

If not, then publicly disprove it with supporting evidence. Be transparent.

If they do, then publicly address their concerns with supporting evidence of how the leaders of the French people plan to tackle the problem. Be transparent.

Silencing opposing voices, especially if they have any validity, will only be destructive in the long term, and solves nothing. Let’s see how Le Pen’s party does if French leaders consistently choose this route.
