How would he know what was in the speech anyway; he was caught on camera falling asleep during the speech.

Unfortunately, the GOP has offered no alternative. The Trump tax "reform" added to the debt and now all of a sudden republicans are worried about debt? When working Americans see the gap growing between them and the wealthy growing, they want their piece of the pie and are following Trump's example.

It might be too much spending, but Cruz is part of the GOP's problem: kowtowing to Trump and not offering any alternative.

Why didn't the GOP offer real reform when they had the WH and the Congress? Its simple really, they stand for nothing anymore. And that is the saddest part of all, that there is no real alternative other than say no and whine.

The republicans offer freedom from the government conducting pointless experiments with the economy and your life. The government does no exist to run your life. That's your job. That is their better alternative. They don't have to do anything, and the results will always be better than any of the social experiments the dims want to ram down the public's throat.

The government could chain you to a computer, a machine, or whatever, making a virtual slave out of you. The economy would boom as people would be more productive than ever. But it doesn't mean it's a good thing. Biden speaks of pie in the sky goals and outcomes, like putting Americans to work making wind turbine blades in Pennsylvania, instead of buying them from China. Or the goal of ending cancer, which he promised to do if elected. But the question of how he seeks to accomplish these tasks is never talked about. Either he has no plan, or we would not like his plan. Probably some combination of both.
