That said, we have courts to meter out justice, and its not justice to have a cop holding his body weight on your neck for 9 minutes.
Im not sure what happened in Elizabeth City was justified either. I dont know all the details but - I dont know what the threat was in a car that is moving away from you. I dont know if the driver did anything before speeding off to cause that to happen.
Crimes have penalties that courts and juries apply to criminals.
Police are just people too, and some get caught up in the moment and dont realize when they may have crossed a line. Courts and juries apply to them too.
We need Police. We need them to protect and serve our communities. And when they lose it, or otherwise cross a line, we need to punish them just like anyone else would be punished- in a court of law.
The street is for criminals - street justice is akin to honor amongst thieves.
Is there anyone here that can truly say when an enraged 15 year old has charged them and pinned them up against a car and is coming around with a blade that appears to be at least 7 inches long that they would prefer any Police present to just mind their business and wait for the dust to clear before seeing if anything needs to be done?

Some pol claimed blacks are afraid of being stopped by the cops so they run. Where do they get the idea they are in danger if they do not resist arrest??? they are made to fear the cops by dem politicians and activists who ignore stats and lie about the relationship between cops and blacks.

Then note how the media ignores the little kid killed at mcdonalds and fails to give his back story as if the little kid was not worth hearing about his life cut short.

Nah, intelligent folks are just more likely to cooperate. Giving a cop less reason to feel a need to kill them. It's a theory known as "Living to fight another day!"

The racial hate that America is experiencing, is from Liberal Media News Channels which go NON STOP on my phone with persons of color shot by "racist cops" AND Liberal leaders who feed off of this racism (I guess for the next election) and encourage total nutcases like Maxine Waters to go ballistic the night of the trial warning everyone that GUILTY is the only verdict. The jury was not in deliberations long enough to get a clean shower, it was too quick. Every point should have been discussed in DETAIL, not Oh Gee BLM says he is a racist, guilty cop, let's GO with that!"
When these events occur, the media, and others, withhold critical information for way too long.
They do this to stir every Dem into an frenzy of anger and hate, and manipulate their opinions of law enforcement.

The 42 year old loser was selling drugs to police informants, with some purchases being recorded. This is the low-life who lived in Elizabeth City, North Carolina who's drugs sales and rap sheet date back to 1988. He was shot by the police deputy who was using a search warrant, he was shot while trying to drive away.
An initial search warrant which was Agent RD Johnson of the Dare County Narcotics Task Force was in touch with a confidential source that said that they had been buying narcotics from Brown for more than a year.
It was also reported that they had bought cocaine, “crack” cocaine, methamphetamine and heroin from Brown on many occasions. The informant also said that Brown would sometimes go to Dare County to deliver the narcotics. The informant would also travel to Elizabeth City to buy narcotics from Brown — either at hotels or even at his own residence.
I was a fan of The Shield and once thought sort of along the lines of, “ok, who cares? Dude was a bad guy.”
But I don’t think that should ever be used as a way to “justify” or feel better about a death anymore, be it a justifiable use of force or not. I came around to a much more humanistic view a couple of years before BLM was around, and I actually find it rather distasteful to just wash your hands of something because somebody didn’t live up to standards of good behavior. Maybe the guy was a repeat offender because...having a rap sheet makes it hard to get a legit job? Maybe the environment he grew up in sucked? Maybe the easy money you get by selling prohibited items is it’s own addiction? Maybe some of those were possession with intent to distribute, which is a stupid technicality where it doesn’t matter if you’re selling or not, if you’re in possession of anything over a set, arbitrary amount, they assume you intend to distribute it? There’s not enough room for doubt when you take someone’s rap sheet as a reason that it’s OK somebody dies at the hands of another person.
