So, the message is that the USA is a nasty, violent place while Scandinavian Norway is an oasis of civilization and concern for all human lives. Get out of the US NOW before it's too late and you become just one more statistic proving America's love of sophisticated firearms.

Funny that you mention it, considering Islam at 9.5% is the second most common religion after the Church of Norway. However, the largest immigrant population are Pakistanis, followed by other South/SE Asians and East Africans(Somalis, Eritreans, and Ethiopians). Of course, there are some European immigrants. Irvine, CA is the 72nd biggest city in the US with the lowest murder rate. Almost 300,000 people.
It is very diverse, but in a way that isn’t quite like the rest of the US. 50% white, 40% Asian, 9% Hispanic , 1% black.
We could go into the reasons why Irvine is so safe, but that wouldn’t be necessary after looking at who lives there.
Baltimore:around 70% black.
People love to blame murder on poverty, but that’s complete BS. Emotional people can’t control themselves, and when they feel disrespected, they kill. It’s that simple.
It's almost like their model of social democracy that largely eradicates poverty works!
Poverty is not an indicator of murder rates in the USA. The % of African-Americans is.
I love this example. In Miami you have two neighborhoods (cities technically), Hialeah, and Opa Locka. They are right next to each other. Similarly poor and urban. One has a murder rate several multiples of the other. One is principally Cuban, non-English speaking. The other is principally African-American.

I agree that Oslo is an unfair comparison, however what is a fair comparison, as I can think of few places in the western world as bad, and you would really have to look to parts of Mexico, Central and South America or parts of Africa to find more disturbing figures.
Even the worst cities in Eastern Europe are fairly tame, compared to Baltimore and other such cities.
Whether the Dems are to blame is debatable however they don't seem to be able to improve theses cities even when in power at local and national level.
Pelosi is even a native of Baltimore, who moved to San Francisco, and she seems to specialise in destroying cities wherever she goes.
In terms of parts of Baltimore and Philly, the best thing to do would be to demolish a lot of really problematic areas and start again from fresh, with better planned housing and communities.
U.S. cities have a unique Black on Black culture of violence and murder, yet the Dems responsible for helping to create this problem do nothing. That's all. Transport those people to Oslo and they'd have the same problem.

What's happening in Mexican cities is not comparable to what's happening in Black sections of American cities.
In Mexican cities, you have large criminal organizations going to war with each other. The killing is targeted and organized.
In Black sections of American cities, you have a lot of stupid people shooting each other over nothing, because they're stupid.
I grew up in Detroit as it changed from a White city to a Black one. I've seen a lot, but nothing that I can forget is the sheer stupidity of most of the residents. I had older Black women ask me for help to use the ATM because they were illiterate. When interacting with them, it's impossible to not notice that there are only a few marbles rolling up in there.
