When someone cannot pay their bills because the minimum wage is too low for the cost of living, this is the response that is usually given.
Those who earn less need to readjust their sense of entitlement and start living within their means. They're not owed a certain standard of living merely because they exist.

Yes. Minimum wage people need to do one of two things:
1) Rent a room in someone’s house or triple up with two other low-wage workers in a so-so apartment. It’s what college grads did when they first came out of college. If an engineer with a B.S. degree is willing to do it, why are unskilled workers entitled to better?
2) if they don’t like the idea of sharing forever, then they can take advantage of Pell Grants to get an A.A. in a vocationally oriented program. Taxpayers’ treat!
I'm sure the Democrats are working on a scheme right now to steal from the rich to provide everyone a "living wage" but right now they are demanding the mom and pops step up, tighten their own belts and pay up.
Correction, how dare people stay on welfare for their entire life when there are jobs they could be working.
Many on welfare are working, that is the problem. Why should taxpayers have to subsidize employers because they can't pay a decent wage?
