I didn't watch it his speech. These kinds of things are boring. And besides, I already know what he's doing, so I didn't need to hear him talk about it.
Is it really fair to compare the ratings of a "State of the Union" from 2017 when the world was normal and the State of the Union had all the pageantry attach to it, to a time when the world is trying to rebuild itself from a year-long pandemic and the so-called "State of the Union" was a shell of itself? I don't think so.
I would think with a real leader, ratings would be higher in tough times than in normal times. Wouldn't you?
Here is a video of Joe Biden's first state of the union speech. As of 4/29/2021, it has 3.5k likes and 11k dislikes, plus not very many positive comments. And somehow this is the most popular president who somehow got 81 million votes?

and will need in the "State of the Union" speech, is a interpreter to translate Biden's poor English jeberish language skills, into proper intelligent English pronunciation.
Try going back to school and picking up some communication skills. Comprehension is highly lacking in some folks daily life. If its not narrowed down to emojis or twitter slang, folks are stymied.
His pronunciation is fine. Get your hearing checked maybe?

Biden absolutely demolished it with his speech, getting an 85% approval. Who would have thought ending the pandemic, helping out the American people, giving the best economy in 75 years, and not kissing up to corporations would be so popular?

Let's not be coy - those who "like" Biden and the Democrats expect to get increased bribes while others (the wealthy?) get more taxes.
Now, if the wealthy decide to change what they're doing so to pay less taxes, who will be stuck paying the bribes?
