Well we know you made up the stuff about the FDNY. You live in NYC -- NOT. http://forums.49ers.com/messageboard/images/smilies/pigfly.gif (broken link)
Was an intern at One Liberty Plaza until Dec 2001, commuted from Stamford, CT. Why I feel the need to explain myself to you I don't know.
Regarding the FDNY - interesting how you took one FDNY's opinion and used it to further your agenda. Research a bit and contact some firefighters who were on the scene - they'll tell ya exactly what happened. Again, the fire was caused by diesel tanks inside WTC 7 and there were TWO pockets of fires in the building on TWO separate floors. Do some research before you talk out of your you know what.
Agreed. Engineers are intelligent and will give facts to prove their point, not quotes (opinions) from a single firefighter who acted with emotion on and in the days following 9/11.
Kevin Ryan is a chemist. David Jones was a professor in physics. Why on earth you wouldn't even address the NIST links on that site is beyond me.
Typical.
You mean Steven Jones? Of "Cold Fusion" fame? The one dismissed for cause from that legendary technical school, Brigham Young university? Other than being a discredited gad-fly who consistently engages in self promotion, why should we listen to Steven Jones? The technical community found his work wasn't of high enough quality to publish in peer reviewed journals.

Floor six through fourteen burned. There were separate fires on floors 19-22 and 29-30. All well documented by the FDNY. And what I did was quote a FDNY Chief who was in charge of the fire in WTC 7. And you claim your cousin is a FDNY and there was no fire... Right, poser.
Yes I'm an licensed professional engineer who can read and comprehend technical documents.
For someone who claims to be a licensed professional engineer, you rarely post in Science and Technologies. Looking at the history of your posts, the vast majority are in Politics & Other Controversies, and a few being in Washington D.C.

Actually, Mr. I'm A Professional Engineer But Like To Call Childish Names, I stated several times that yes, there were pockets of fires. There was not, however, a raging inferno inside the building. Again, for the third time, the fires were caused by diesel pipes inside the building which were ruptured due to small chunks of debris and the resulting quake from the falling towers a block and a half away.
I thought "professional engineers" were able to read and comprehend? Hmm, obviously not the case here.
Oh and yes, my cousin is a member of FDNY, as is my sister, brother-in-law and uncle.

Right, he's such a dummy. I don't exactly think you are in a position to be criticizing this guy...

ones earned his bachelor's degree in physics, magna *** laude, from Brigham Young University in 1973, and his Ph.D. in physics from Vanderbilt University in 1978. Jones conducted his Ph.D. research at the Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (from 1974 to 1977), and post-doctoral research at Cornell University and the Los Alamos Meson Physics Facility.[1]
Jones conducted research at the Idaho National Laboratory, in Arco, Idaho where, from 1979 to 1985, he was a senior engineering specialist. He was principal investigator for experimental muon-catalyzed fusion from 1982 to 1991 for the U.S. Department of Energy, Division of Advanced Energy Projects. From 1990 to 1993, Jones studied fusion in condensed matter physics and deuterium under U.S. Department of Energy and Electric Power Research Institute sponsorship. Jones also collaborated in experiments at other physics labs, including TRIUMF (Vancouver, British Columbia), KEK (Tsukuba, Japan), and the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory at Oxford University.
You know you just seem to like to name call and discredit people rather than providing links to back up what you say.
Yeah, really, you're kidding, right? LOL - too funny!
