10,000 feet with rich soil- that is an oximoron. There is a reason they have something we call "the treeline".
Obviously, they have never spent a winter at altitude and don't understand that many roads are left unplowed during the winter, thus being "stranded" for months. People who have lived in the mountains know this and prepare- idiots do not.
These socialist "experiments" are great, as they repeatedly show the failures of socialism. Those creating these environments do not understand they are proving the point of their opponants- that socialism always fails.
Deputies responded Monday evening to a trespass report on a property south of Norwood where a group of 8-12 people from the “Black Hammer Organization” were camping prior to a property purchase that ultimately did not occur.
Too bad. I was hoping to catch up on occasional amusing updates from this far left clown world group.
I say let them give it a shot. See how they fare out there. Eventually, the GoFundMe will dwindle to nothing, and they'll have to rely on their own 'ingenuity' and skills.
Frankly, if I had the means to get the hell away from everybody, I would do so. Immediately. So, I don't fault them for trying.
We'll see what happens, though, because when things get tough, that's when bad things start to happen - or they might just give up. If the latter happens, they should be responsible for paying for the dismantling of everything, the clean up, and not by GoFundMe or any other hand outs.
As for the winter fire, I got the idea they were being facetious - cheeky. I would certainly hope they know better than using books on the fire to keep them warm all winter long, high up in Colorado, of all places.
I'm not going to bash on them - yet. I'll wait to see if they are successful, productive, positive, and happy. If they fail - depending on how they fail, I reserve all rights to laugh at them.

Isn't this an insurrection, leftists? Or an attempted secession? Seems to be a second attempt at the CSA. Except this time around they are fighting for enslavement of the mind via stupidity.
Actually, to make everyone happy, let's send them to an uninhabited island (or continent) to live their "colonized" lives as they see fit. Antarctica seems fitting. Colonize that puppy.

I think that's a great idea.
I was looking forward to watching 'Lord of the Flies' in real time.
Damnit.
I also suspect that this was a huge scam, and a whole lot of people just lost their money. Oh well, now they know how taxpayers feels.

Isn't this the very same idea advocated by many here on the far right? Buy up a piece of land, and surround yourself by like minded people, and separate yourself from others who don't have the same life and political philosophies?
That would take not having outside funding though.
