If the Republican party ceases to exist, that will be fine by me. I am not sure what your point is, but regardless, the Bush/Romney/Cheney style of Republicanism is in the process of exiting stage left.

Whatever the ramifications of that are, so be it.

The base has a pretty clear idea of what it supports and the party will go forward with leaders that are supported by those voters. That is not Bush/Romney/Cheney, etc. Their day is done.
Lets see....the Bush/Romney/Cheney crowd and the conservative/populists are now two. Which means they are smaller electorates. Genius....simply genius strategery. The GOP is bleeding Independents and they are simply displaying the characteristics of a political party in decay. Research the Whigs....the chasm became too great within the party and they disappeared.

If your point is that the Republican base needs to rally around Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney, and those sorts, it is not going to happen. If the continued existence of the Republican party is dependent on that happening, then die it certainly will.

I do not think it means that, but if you do, then go ahead and think it.

Funny thing is, the faction boos Romney in public, but in private they were unable to censure him. It seems their bark is worse than their bite.

Conservative commentator Byron York is trying to figure out Liz's game. The Cheney name still holds alot of clout in the GOP.

And George Bush is speaking out

Interesting timing....this coming out at the same time.....Hey Trumpsters.....LISTEN. They are just trying to prevent the GOP being taken down by a pied piper. If you have to believe Trump's Big Lie to belong to the GOP, then they will no longer be a viable National Party. You don't win by shrinking your party....logic would suggest.
Stop your B.S. WSJ opinion is establishment Republican pro Wall Street, for globalism, for amnesty, for open borders and for cheap labor. WSJ opinion was for the Iraq War and other things that are not conservative.

W Bush is speaking out? LMAO! didn't this fool voted for Condoleezza Rice (another war criminal) in 2016 amd 2020 and didn't care if Hillary and Corn Pops won.

Funny that you complain about "lies" about Trump to protect a Cheney and bring W Bush. You can't make this up. Honest Dumbya setting the record straight.

No.....just pointing out that the GOP is in a state of meltdown. The fight is on inside the party, the establishment will lose and the GOP will no longer be a viable political party.

Default 'She’s toast': Embattled Cheney could be ousted from GOP leadership next week

The Republican House caucus could be ousted from party leadership as soon as next week. Of course Minority Leader McCarthy stepped in to save her bacon at the prior vote of confidence on Cheney. But he is not making any such effort this time around. Instead, he has been publicly expressing his frustration with Liz Cheney.

'She’s toast': Embattled Cheney could be ousted from GOP leadership next week

House Republicans could vote to remove Conference Chairwoman Liz Cheney as soon as next week, sources told the Washington Examiner on Tuesday. Sources told the Washington Examiner that New York Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik is jockeying to replace Cheney as conference chairwoman and appears to be favored by GOP leaders.

While Cheney survived a February leadership challenge, Republicans say she was aided by a plea at that time from McCarthy, who urged the disgruntled conference not to vote to remove her. "This time, McCarthy is not doing that," the source said. "It's going to give rank-and-file members cover to vote against her." Without the backing of top leadership, the source said, "She's toast."
To be fair, a final decision on another such vote has not been made yet. But Cheney has lost control and is out pushing an agenda that is not supported by the vast majority of the Republican party base or apparently the Republican caucus in the House either.

Without Leader McCarthy backing her up, there is a growing sense that "She's toast". And if she loses her position in the Republican leadership, she is almost certainly not going to win re-election for her seat either. Nor should she.

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, Liz.

and now you bring W BUSH of all people to discredit Trump to defend a Cheney to bring the GOP back to the good old days of the Bush doctrine. Do you believe in your own B.S.? bring W Bush to set the "truth" in the party? LMAO!
I see a major political party in the throws of decay.
