I hope this bill passes and becomes law in NC.

House Bill 558 would make it unlawful for North Carolina to mandate vaccinations against certain illnesses including COVID-19.

It would also prohibit North Carolina from requiring proof of vaccination or immunity against COVID-19.

Why does there need to be a bill to make it illegal?

Does that mean it's legal now??

And there's no mention of private businesses being able to require it. Seems like a bunch of virtue signaling from politicians imo.

Meh....It's not surprising considering who it's coming from. To give some context, one of the primary sponsors, Larry Pittman, is a marginalized fringe House Member who isn't taken very seriously, even by many in his own party, because he's known for the asinine things he pulls out of his rear end:

With that said, it is truly frightening for this country to see how many people seem to idolize people like this and he's obviously pandering to those people.

if any Legislature wanted to do more than virtue signal/grandstand, then they'd be smart enough to file a successful suit against the continuing "emergency" orders from their Governor.

Yes, mandatory vaccination by states is legal and has been upheld by the Supreme Court. On penalty of a fine, not strapping you down and injecting you.
