They don't like it in California when they are caught using tax-payer money to torture the mentally ill.

Kamala Harris ""California is a model of what the country should be." Let's hope the nation becomes like California when it comes to the way they those with disabilities.

California is a state where taxpayers love paying taxes for their state to do barbaric things to disabled.

This certainly seems like a horrible incident, but i fail to see in the linke you posted how this is the policy of the department, quite the opposite.

Doesn't this prove that there is "systemic water-torture" permeating the entire state?

Um, how did the "County" have anything to do with the incident? What policy?

Prisoner was treated, deputies on administrative leave, investigation, case to DA to determine charges, and ...

"In addition, the Sheriff’s Department is continuing an administrative investigation to determine whether policy violations were committed."

They were caught doing it, so one can conclude it was unwritten policy.

Of course they weren't going to put their barbaric practices in government brochures.

Please, put a bit more effort into pushing an agenda. At least pick a story that one could possibly construe the facts to support your narrative vs hoping (though begrudgingly acknowledging of it's effectiveness) that a titillating headline will be enough to gain support of those who are predisposed to buy into that narrative.

Caught and disciplined, so.........

Not defending the state here, just failing to see anything in what you posted that points to something systemic, that's all.

I am sure in DeSantis Florida that this sort of conduct would be very unlikely to occur plus Florida values in my opinion are vastly superior to California values.

I am very familiar with Californians and their culture and this is just another example of California values.

California is a corrupt, regressive through and through.

California's criminal justice worse then the Phillipines and many Republican states tend to be more like Norway.

Barbaric California: County caught with policy of throwing scalding hot water on the mentally ill
Lured in by this fantastical claim, I clicked. Surely, I thought, in a well-moderated forum like this one, no thread title will be complete BS. I was a sucker.
