It actually has a lot to do with it. The reason he's permanently banned from FB is the same reason 81 million Americans turned out to reject autocracy and incompetence.
Yep. Social media / private companies spoke. The majority and will of the people spoke. Words and repeatedly breaking TOS has consequences, even if one is POTUS.
Tiny little bakery shops have no right to decide what cakes they do and don't want to make based on their religious and moral principles.
Tech monopolies are private corporations and can platform or not platform whoever they want without being told what to do.
Small problem with your equivalence, the cake question has been settled by the SCOTUS in favor of the bakers, the same court rejected the orange criminal's attempted usurpation of our election processes to install himself as perpetual leader.
Repeatedly breaking Terms of Service (TOS) of a privately held (not governmental owned) company has consequences for everyday users, all the way up to the highest office of the United States.
What did he do wrong? It's an honest question.
I see politicians on the left incite violence all the time and nothing happens. Maxine Waters still has a FB account after public jury tampering and inciting violence. What does one have to do to get banned as a leftist?
1. Spread lies stating the election would be rigged beforehand (in both 2016 and 2020).
2. Falsely claimed victory on election night before anything even close to all the ballots were counted
3. Waged a campaign of lies over weeks refusing to accept the results of the election
4. Attempted to get the GA SoS to manufacture votes to put him over the top in GA
5. Demanded that his VP declare him the winner at the 1/6 counting even absent any constitutional power to do so
6. Supported violence against Congress for at least a few hours on 1/6 when it was clear peaceful means were not going to let him keep the office
The problem with the bakeries is they should have just said we are busy that day instead of saying we don't want to bless a gay marriage.
I know of nobody who believes giant tech monopolies are OK. Capitalism depends on competition. Since when do monopolies compete?
But as the rules stand, FB can do what they please. Last I read, they make $4 a month off every person on their list. Maybe we should all just get off FB.
The congress could fix it. Who would McConnell side with?

Those charges are highly dubious. But he did nothing that folks like Maxine Waters hasn't done. She incited violence, lied about her political opponents, tampered with a jury, etc....

All good reasons to uphold the ban. He continues to perpetuate the lies even when all other media and politicians have corrected themselves. Is there any other politician that is still posting these falsehoods on Twitter at this point?
