Full FDA approval only requires having for six months of data for their BL, something Pfizer and Moderna have already have and in fact Pfizer is likely filing for full approval this month using data they have already compiled. Therefore any "unknown remaining" isn't part of what they will need for full FDA approval, nor is it preventing them from doing so.
To be honest the biggest difference in full approval will be making it that much harder for new vaccines introduced to get the EUA, and the side-effect of anti-vaxxers pretending it's just the fact that it is a EUA giving them pause.
I'll agree that we're getting closer to a point of having better long term safety data.
I'm a doctor so I have a broader scope of job than just me and my family.
The above is a personal decision, but one that can affect us all.
This is just to inform, not to force.
Informing is one thing, coercing or forcing is quite another. No one should be made to feel obligated to get the vaccine if they have reservations about doing so. That would be opening the floodgates to require vaccination for any and every strain of bug, deadly or not so deadly, out there. After all, someone, somewhere has died from "insert random virus" at some point in time.
Sure I have political opinions. i.e. patriotism. But the medical is factual.
Anyway how would patriotism not be unifying?
Just because you make a statement about a medical topic, that does not automatically qualify your statement as "fact," as you have demonstrated here many times in this forum.
Both your medical and political statements, and your intentional conflations of the two, are opinions. Some of what you say is right and some of it is wrong, and therefore not factual.
You people are not patriots. Quite the opposite, as far as I have observed.
I am fine with them gambling the lives of themselves and their families BUT they are Endangering themselves and others. Not vaccinating them could endanger the entire society, including those who have been vaccinated.

It means that Covid has been going around all year long, most people who catch it recover just like they do from the flu. They may decide that they do not need to be vaccinated themselves and prefer to have natural immunity. A person in more vulnerable health might make a very different decision and opt to get the vaccine proactively. Neither choice is wrong.
