In Florida, mask compliance is low. No flu here either.
You know what else Florida doesn't have? Cold weather. It's not for no reason that flu season runs from late fall through late winter.

Your last sentence is categorically untrue. There are several Asian (as in, from Asia, not Asian-American) passengers who ride my commuter bus to work, when I was working in the office. Every flu season, like clockwork, they'd put on the masks.

We have a flu season in Florida, and it coincides with the rest of the country.

First, Florida does get cold weather. Depending on your definition, the north and central parts do get cold mornings regularly in the winter. Even in Miami, we can be chilly for a few days a year.

But flu is primarily spread when people are indoors. And it coincides with school season.
