Agent Orange failed once again. Corrupt people don't deserve second chances.
America prefers to look forward rather than back. We're a land of second acts. We move on. And this can be a strength: We don't get bogged down in outmoded traditions, old grudges, obsolete ways of thinking. We constantly reinvent. We love innovation and disruption. But there's a downside: a collective amnesia about what we've been though, and a corresponding reluctance to do anything about it or hold anyone accountable.
Now, with the COVID-19 pandemic receding and the economy starting to rebound, and with the 2020 election and the attack on the Capitol behind us, the future looks bright. But at the risk of being the skunk at the picnic, let me remind you: We have lost more than 580,000 people to COVID-19. One big reason that number is so high is our former president lied about the virus and ordered his administration to minimize its danger.
He also lied about the results of the last election. And then—you remember, don't you?—he tried to overturn the results.
He twisted the arms of state election officials. He held a rally to stop Congress from certifying the election, followed by a violent attack on the Capitol. Five people died. Senators and representatives could have been slaughtered.

Amidst the social and political turmoil of the 1970s, a handful of women—among them a onetime Barnard student, a Texas sorority sister, the daughter of a former communist journalist—joined and became leaders of the May 19th Communist Organization. Named to honor the shared birthday of civil rights icon Malcolm X and Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh, M19 took its belief in “revolutionary anti-imperialism” to violent extremes: It is “the first and only women-created and women-led terrorist group,” says national security expert and historian William Rosenau.
M19’s status as an “incredible outlier” from male-led terrorist organizations prompted Rosenau, an international security fellow at the think tank New America, to excavate the inner workings of the secretive and short-lived militant group. The resulting book, Tonight We Bombed the Capitol, pieces together the unfamiliar story of “a group of essentially middle-class, well educated, white people who made a journey essentially from anti-war and civil rights protest to terrorism,” he says.

There's also the Battle of Athens, TN, in 1946. It was against the local government, not Federal. Democrat cheated for year after year in various elections. Republicans let them get away with it for years. Finally they'd had enough, and took up arms against the corrupt Democrats.

Oh but now we are talking about two different things. It's the internet vs what will be in history books. Of course we can look everything up on the net but how much of that will be covered and taught in history books. And this is what we are talking about. What is actually going to be in our history books. I guess you lost track of the conservation.
In 1971, a mob of Democrats calling themselves "Weathermen" bombed the U.S. Capitol. It was one of a string of bombings that Democrats committed in the 70s.
Historically, when Democrat couldn't get their way, they frequently resorted to violence, arson, and bombings. Not too much unlike what happened in the summer of 2020. For Democrats, some things never change.

A bomb explodes in the Capitol building in Washington, D.C., causing an estimated $300,000 in damage but hurting no one. A group calling itself the Weather Underground claimed credit for the bombing, which was done in protest of the ongoing U.S.-supported Laos invasion.
The so-called Weathermen were a radical faction of the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS); the Weathermen advocated violent means to transform American society. The philosophical foundations of the Weathermen were Marxist in nature; they believed that militant struggle was the key to striking out against the state to build a revolutionary consciousness among the young, particularly the white working class. Their primary tools to achieving these ends were arson and bombing.
Among the other targets of Weathermen bombings were the Long Island Court House, the New York Police Department headquarters, the Pentagon, and the State Department.
