Jeff Bezos' superyacht is so big it needs its own yacht.

Many are whining about how selfish Bezos is. How the money spent on the yacht could be used to feed hungry children etc.

I'd rather high tech tycoons buy yachts than national newspapers ... any day.

I certainly hope he isnt spouting off about climate change. His personal carbon footprint must be measured in kilotons.

True. These mega yachts spew out a lot of carbon.

Indeed. Lot of jobs involved in building and running a yacht. However many act as if the money spent on the yacht disappears into thin air.

Of course the money could have been spent to feed hungry children but the building and upkeep of that yacht has provided countless families with a good wage and will continue to do so.

What is funny about those mega yachts is that the live on crew has a good time keeping the boat ship shape and when the owner finally comes to hang out they roll their eyes.

These big yachts generally follow the Summer and the crew gets to enjoy it while the owner flies to meet his floating hotel for a weekend.

I say good for Bezos in spending and enjoying some of his money.

Good for him. With something that size, I'd just bug out and live on it full time.

Yep. His money, I'm not judging how he spends it.

Amazon was the single greatest job creator during the Trump era.

It will likely overtake Walmart as the largest private sector employer in the US within the next 5 years.

His net worth could be liquidated and it would cover about 2 months of Medicare for All.

Then what?
