Trump did facilitate domestic companies with funding for research. Moderna being the one that seems to be the only that got R & D funding that is actually impacting the vaccine production. His administration, by their own admittance botched the initial distribution/supply chains.
Biden pushed vaccines as a policy, as a national effort -- the idea of it all -- masks and vaccines that may have encouraged people to get more vaccines.
Biden walked in to a depleted inventory of vaccines -- again this was self admitted by Trump admin. the week before the inauguration so it isn't debatable. Trump's administration did not provide any transition with key issues and vaccination wasn't one of them.
Biden was able to step in, get it up and running again and even managed to get competitors to work together to expedite manufacturing and distribution.
So thanks to the scientists folks like to trash -- they did it.
Thanks to Trump for handing out tax money for R & D.
Thanks to Biden for being able to step in and expedite the manufacture, supply and distribution.
And y thanks to Americans for stepping up and getting the vaccine.
I know you folks think Trump invented the vaccine but reality -- every pharmaceutical company in the world was trying to get a vaccine out. Not just as humanitarian effort but for business reasons. There was much to gain for them.
They would have been pushing it, trying to be the first --- no matter what any world leader did.
Naïve to think Trump influenced them to find the vaccines sooner.
While Republicans now seem to think what Trump did was miraculous -- most of them still won't get the vaccine...the contradicting message of that is sadly funny/ They are mad we aren't bowing at the feet of Trump for the vaccine they have no faith in.
Can't make up that kind of logic.
