No, you misunderstand. There are zero community cases of Covid in Australia. So what Australia's doing worked, it's in some other countries the pandemic is worse than last year.
Having said that, there will be a big push to open the international borders a lot quicker than in a year. Which I think the Federal Gov will go along with. They effed up the vaccine roll out so they're just CTA.
Have you spoken with people in Australia who feel that way? I know a few people living there at the moment, they are very grateful for being protected from the harm covid has done to other countries.
There seems to be a correlation between the lack of vaccines and restrictions.
What they have been doing has been working for them.
As vaccines become more widely available, Australia will open its borders.
