Again Israel vacated Gaza in 2005. Hamas decided to launch rockets at Israel and Israel responded as would any other nation that was attacked in such a fashion.

What about 6 million dead do you not understand? What if "your" ethnic or religious group had recently been the target of global extermination? Would you want a homeland with a military to prevent this from happening again?

I support Israel's right to defend itself. I just wonder how aggressive Israel would be if it didn't have the power of the US Military behind it.
I thought the premise for becoming (petroleum) energy independent was to get out of the Middle East. We're energy independent so let's let all the countries in the Middle East continue to war with each other.
This isn't anti-Jewish or anti-Israel, it's just that at some point we have to say we'll be an ally but it's time for American tax dollars to benefit Americans. The MAGA crowd was on board with "America First" but when it comes to Israel they seem to make exceptions.

I have a friend who is an active duty SEAL who says the Israelis and their special forces are the best in the world. They have a nuclear arsenal. They have shown unbelievable RESTRAINT in not wiping out the Arab states, which they could have done.
