Independent retail cannot afford inflated minimum wages, let alone excessive theft of merchandise by democrat criminals. It will continue to die out much faster than anything ran by a mega corporation.

Mostly mom and pop stores, no employees. I can't predict exactly how owners will prevent theft, but they could start by having small stores where they can see all merchandise. As fossil fuels deplete, big cities will depopulate back to farm country for work. Stealing may be more dangerous in small towns where everyone is armed and well informed about neighbors.
