Imagine that…. after the riots, murder and mayhem people have a low opinion of BLM

One year after George Floyd’s murder, fewer Americans say they support Black Lives Matter

It’s been one year since unarmed Black man George Floyd was murdered by former police officer Derek Chauvin in Minneapolis.

I wouldn't support BLM or public policing if they were threatening my property or life...which they do every second of every day.

The organization has been shown to be about anything but black lives. So no, we don't support it.

Obviously, we all agree that black people matter, as do all people. But we disagree with the politics.

It's obvious BLM isn't about black lives. Profiting from donations and then buying high end homes, it's all theatrics that white liberal Democrats buy into.

Well...it's a lot like the Tea Party back in the Obama days.

It started off as something that the average person could get behind. Then it became organized and monetized and morphed into something that is apart from its beginnings.

Well, the way Floyd died was terrible. He should have cooperated with the police instructions but he shouldn't have died for not doing so. Maybe police should carry some sort of sedative in the form of an EpiPen they could use to calm resistant prisoners a bit.

And of course, black lives matter, but Black Lives Matter is basically a terrorist organization was conceived and is run by folks who hate this country. As they say, "Delta is ready when you are".

His murder wasn't even a hate crime, yet the media/BLM linked it to skin color....

What was it? Just an ordinary murder? Or was Floyd responsible for his death?

Floyd made the decision to be a criminal scumbag.

The media's constant demonization of police angers me. What about the other side of the coin? The millions (yes millions) of calls they are asked to respond to every day? When we have an emergency, we call the police first. Police risk their lives every day to protect ours. Would we do the same? Would we become a cop? Few of us would. Let us not forget these heroes because a tiny minority of police abuse their power. Though his death was tragic, I don't agree we should view George Floyd as a martyr and with the BLM movement as a whole. It's an unpopular opinion around here, since I live in the Houston area.
