And by "normal", you mean racist white cry babies who can't handle hearing how other racist white cry babies tortured, murdered and raped black people 200 years ago? How racism is embedded deep within the fabric of this country. Racism against blacks is as American as baseball and apple pie.
Its funny how so many of you people whine about the 1619 project. You are the reason the rest of us will never stop talking about the TRUE history of this country. Your constant attempts to whitewash (what a perfect word) slavery, Jim Crow and all the other things that were done to black people will not work.
There are dozens if not hundreds of books about the horrors of slavery. Books that have been in circulation long before the 1619 project. Go read 1 or 2.
