Agree. China is a country. Chinese are a people. Rational people can blame a country without passing the blame onto people either from the country or whose ancestors were originally from that country.
It's the "China Virus" because it's verfiable was in the georaphical entity called China, that is the only reason it is, or should be called as such. Also, it should not be a hate crime to state that simple fact. I orginally thought COVID19 stood for "Chinese-Originated Virus ID #19".
Now if it were called the "Eww Nasty Stinky C--nky Virus" that could be hate speech but, I thought this was America with a thing called the First Ammendment protecting the right to objectionable speech ...maybe I was wrong. Maybe we're in Bidenia or Kamalastan, where the Constitution doesn't apply.
