Because to many Jews, the GOP represents traditional, majority white Christian America. And many Jews fear and hate the idea of a "white Christian America," which they see as inherently anti-Semitic.
The irony is, conservative white Christians are probably more supportive of Jews than anyone else is.

It might be ironic, but most Jews still don't like or trust Christians.
Partially, it's because Christian Dispensationalists (the most pro-Israel of all Christians), base their support of Israel on the idea that when the End Times come, 1/6 of all Jews (the good Jews) will convert to Christianity, while the rest will perish and be thrown into the lake of fire.
Of course, I'm a Catholic. I see Revelation more as a metaphor than actual prophecy. I don't think the modern state of Israel has any Biblical ties or relevance. It's just another country, like any other.
Yep it turns out that the whole conspiracy colloquially termed "ZOG" is actually real. And none of those cabinet picks are anti-Israel. They may have less militant approach, like giving US Taxpayers money to help Palestinians, but that just means Israel wont have to. Or maybe normalize relations with Iran, which Israel will also be able to take advantage of but not before allowing the USA to take all the risks.

How would you know whether “most Jews†don’t like or trust Christians? You’re not even Jewish.
That would be like my saying “most Protestants†dislike Jews. How would I know?

So it is a "less militaristic approach" to actively fund terrorist organizations (Hamas/Palestinians) and states (Iran) that have committed acts of war on innocent civilians and who's stated policy and goal is the genocide of the Jewish people?

do you even know what a Dispensationalist is? good grief.
most Christians who base their support for Israel on their faith do so because of Old Testament passages that speak of the blessing to those who bless Israel. Not on which Jews convert. good grief.
HOWEVER most of the Christians that support Israel that I know, do so because Israel is the single democratic nation in a sea of despotic nations. NOT because of their religious affiliation.
