There was a moderate reduction in the amount of legal immigration. Although it was higher than any time before Obama.

But the number of foreign-born is higher than ever.

And while the number of border detentions are up, the total number of removals are down. Thus the question is, how many illegals are living in the United States today? Do you trust the government's numbers?

I guess what I really mean to say is, the number of immigrants or "foreign-born" will continue to rise. Nearly doubling by 2065.

And the truth is, more Americans support immigration than ever. So we should expect even more immigration in the future.

But why do they support immigration?

For you to compare today's "migrants" to your ancestors, is an insult to your ancestors.

Funny to, how posters like him/her can't tell the difference between legal and illegal. Either that or they are purposely being obtuse.

Flooding the border with hundred of thousands of migrants is not “immigration” on top of regular immigration. You drink from a straw, not from a garden hose.

No country in the world can sustain that kind of “immigration” aka open border.

Why is that poster talking about plain ole immigration anyway when the topic of this thread is about illegal immigration? Why do they constantly blur those lines by not using the correct adjective to describe which one of those two very different groups they are talking about? Most Americans don't object to legal immigration in reasonable numbers but illegal immigration is totally unacceptable.

What do you mean by "sustain"? How many immigrants can be "sustained". Give me a number and explain why.

Are you talking or asking about regular immigration (H1B, K1,CR1, etc) or are you talking/asking about irregular immigration (people flooding the southern border by ten of thousands)?

And the latter are illegal aliens or mostly bogus asylum seekers. From his posts you can tell he is blurring the lines between legal and illegal. Legal immigrants do not flood our border they come with papers in hand and not in a flood.
