This man deserves a medal for being parent of the year because not only did his daughter starve to death her ashes were kept in a console of a car. Is it worth saying a phrase or organizations name to commemorate a death that mattered?

His daughter died while in the custody of her mom after child services failed on their part. From what I can find her death was not his fault and it was the fault of the mom, her bf and the failure of the system. As to where her ashes were kept, so what? They were with him, that is what mattered, he obviously cared. If he didnt he wouldnt have kept the ashes and been upset.
While probable cause is standard for an officer to search a vehicle. It must be an item that is ALREADY out in the open- viewable. Not in the glove compartment. For that , the officer needs the consent of the driver.
When the gent clearly advised the officer of what the ashes were, they should have stopped .
How uneducated are these Officers? I know the difference between cremains and drugs. Geesh.

He might have given permission to search before hand. I havent seen anything saying that he didnt.

Plenty of things have failed the deceased child. Her parents both mother and father being the first.

Perhaps, or the courts may not have given the father a choice in the matter. Wouldnt be the first time. I dont know and neither do you. Without knowing for certain what happened I am willing to give a person the benefit of a doubt.

Not defending the police, but keeping your daughters ashes in your console speaks volumes about his character.

You stated this previously. Why do you think this? If his job requires a lot of driving perhaps he kept them in the car so that she was with him. I dont know and neither do you. The difference is that you are judging him based on unknown facts.
