Absolutely tragic and shameless what the Democrats did with their lockdowns.

How many tens of millions of America's children will have terrible health by the time they are in their 20s and 30s for a virus where 308 out of 3.9 million passed away from it?

14 months of social isolation and weight to protect the children from COVID-19 because of the Democrats

The grand tally is 308 children passed away from COVID-19 out of 3.9 million nationwide.

The lockdowns were political, because they were mainly lifted when the administration changed and cases were still very high.

According to one doctor:

"“In children, BMI is measured as percentiles. We’re seeing kids jumping from the 30-40th percentile going to the 80-90-95th percentile"

American youth has been getting fatter and fatter with all of the sedentary activities for kids now anyways (computers, video games, cheetos, etc)...covid or not...lockdowns nothing to do with Dem's but public health. Also, India doesn't have much of an obesity problem, but huge problems with covid now...vaccination would help.

Just one of many articles including the one the OP posted. Living in fear isn’t healthy in more ways than one.

The full effects of govt lockdowns and fear mongering wont be known for years. I suspect the mental and physical health issues will be irreversible for many and will ultimately shorten more than a few lives.

Oh and by govt, I mean D and R alike.

Ok at some point we just have to admit American children have horrible diets as do parents. Also many states like Florida have seen weight gain in chidren and we had no bans on going outside. We had Little League baseball and football like every year here.

Perhaps the kids just modeled their parents behavior given our obese population as a whole.

If you're living in so much fear of a virus with a 99% survival rate that you need to be vaccinated to squelch it, you probably have MANY more issues than just covidphobia.

Shame is its an even greater than 99% survival rate for the kids..low enough to be statistically insignificant

For me, I've had a sense of control and less helplessness, by getting vaccinated and attacking the virus...uncertainty of higher risk which has made me worry less, have less anxiety, and feel more secure helping out my elderly mother and special needs brother who are safe and rapidly getting back to normalcy. That is just me and my situation...know it is so much worse for many around the world at the moment without vaccine access...

Seriously there is a problem world wide anymore with obesity long before pandemic. Sedentary urban lifestyle combined with a high carb diet. COMBINATION OF THOSE TWO THINGS. Sure peasants have eaten high carb for generations since humans decided to live in cities as grain cheap, abundant and stored easily. BUT they were constantly active and far more limited in amount of food available by economics. Happy to get your daily bowl of gruel. Fruit Loops and Twinkies and CocaCola not on the menu.

Except nobody said there wasn’t a problem. What’s being said and shown, is that the lockdown made it worse.
