No LEO in New Mexico has Qualified Immunity any longer.
Will they change their aggressive bullying tactics, used on citizens that don't know their rights?

We will see?

This will be interesting to watch. The Similar Threads that appears at the bottom of the posts shows this has already been done in some other places.

This may discourage a lot of police interactions. Unless you can be perfect in every situation, you may become bankrupted from lawsuits.

well what you will see is after a few cops are sued and go bankrupt is the rest moving to different states or finding other jobs. Would you work a job where you could be sued for making a mistake? Thats what happens in the real world.

It's not even just about making a mistake though--mistakes are where we can definitively establish where wrong doing has been done.

We're also talking about cops who follow protocol, but are then held and disciplined in the court of public opinion. The politicians, Police Commissioner, District Attorneys and Police Chiefs are also cow towing to the same court of opinion.

What does a cop actually gain by taking a risk in a dangerous situation when he/she can collect a check by doing absolutely nothing?

Body cameras that are on 100% of the time would help to establish wrong doing, right?

Yet many police forces are not in favor.

Interesting: both the far right and the far left are anti-police powers.
Horseshoe theory on display.

The end of qualified immunity should extend to elected officials and bureaucrats.

Wrong, it's the interpretation of the data on the camera that's also being held in the court of public opinion.

Most police who do not favor body cams are against them for tactical reasons.

Tactical reasons such as? My local department cited budget as the reason they were against them, they just bought two new helicopters.

The public opinion wouldn't be an issue if the camera were recording 100% of the time, record everything. Make the videos public.
