It's past time for an indictment! Lock him up!

Officials in Palm Beach, Fla., are reportedly considering a course of action should former President Trump be indicted by Manhattan District Attorney Cy Vance Jr. while he is staying at Mar-a-Lago.

According to Politico, law enforcement officials in the town have discussed how to handle a possible extradition if Trump is indicted by authorities investigating whether he committed banking and tax fraud.

The news outlet notes Trump's location would affect potential extradition proceedings, as Florida's extradition statute gives Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) the ability to intervene and determine whether someone should be surrendered to out-of-state law enforcement.

Will it help with the derangement? I suspect not.

the OP? Agreed.

meanwhile, the actual article that was reposted on MSN, from The Hill, but was actually from Politico ...

https://www.politico.com/newsletters...ictment-492836

“The statute leaves room for interpretation that the governor has the power to order a review and potentially not comply with the extradition notice,” says JOE ABRUZZO, clerk of the Circuit Court of Palm Beach County, the official who would be in charge of opening a potential fugitive-at-large case.

Quote:
One wrinkle to Abruzzo’s potential role in all of this: He is a former close associate of President JOE BIDEN’S younger brother, FRANK.
the whole article is inane and completely stupid.

I'm pretty sure the tillman's of this world were 100% certain he'd be indicted the day after Biden took over.

Then, it would be illegal for him to live at Mar-a-Lago.

Now, he's going to escape the FL summer for NJ. And NJ has a similar law, but obviously the D Governor wouldn't get in the way of any extradition.

Of course, ALL of this makes some weird obsessive assumption that Trump

a. gets indicted.
b. more importantly, tries to fight getting charged (extradition)

LOL. Because Trump will never be locked up. Hurt feelings, hoping, wishful thinking, etc..., doesn’t equal guilt.

Unfortunately, they're only planning for it, not clear how likely it is. My political heritage is the UK Conservative party and would love to see someone like Maggie Thatcher come to office here. Liz Cheney looks like she'd be great at ending both the appeasement of Russia from the GOP, and the appeasement of Iran from the Democrats.
