In a committee hearing with House lawmakers on Wednesday, Mayorkas suggested that he will take more action against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) 287(g) program that allows local police to partner with ICE agents to keep criminal illegal aliens off the streets.

Mayorkas also claimed that ICE’s 287(g) program has a history of “pernicious practices” but did not give examples or elaborate on the remark.
The statements indicate that President Joe Biden’s administration is looking to expand their “sanctuary country” orders — whereby ICE agents are barred from arresting and deporting most illegal aliens — to limit the scope at which local law enforcement agencies can utilize the 287(g) program.

This month, an investigation by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) revealed that violent crime and overall crime spiked in two North Carolina counties where local police ended their 287(g) agreements with ICE agents.
Americans are the enemy of this Administration.

In fiscal year (FY) 2020, the 287(g) Program encountered approximately 920 aliens convicted for assault, 1,261 convicted for dangerous drugs, 104 convicted for sex offenses/assaults, 377 convicted for obstructing police, 190 convicted for weapon offenses, and 37 convicted for homicide.
The Biden admin recently shut down a detention center in my state citing abuse of the detainees. There was a riot there in May of 2020 where the inmates trashed the place and the guards were forced to use force to restore order.
"In December 2020, the Massachusetts Civil Rights Division issued a report saying that the Bristol County Sheriff's Office used "excessive and disproportionate" force in response to a disturbance in May 2020 with some immigrant detainees at the Carreiro Immigration Detention Center. The report said employees used weapons such as a flash bang grenade, pepper spray and pepper-spray balls, anti-riot shields and canines"
The thing is Biden closed it and now when the town Police arrest an illegal alien for a violent crime they have no where to send them and with many of the towns being "sanctuary sites" the illegal aliens are treated like any other offender and often released back into society where they can run.
It is ridiculous that the Democrats are on the side of Illegal alien criminals and they are doing their best to tie the hands of the Police that work hard to keep us safe from them.

Demoncrats are hammering nails in the coffin as fast as they can. Repugs will offer faux resistance. Their plans were going smoothly, playing good cop bad cop, duping americans, then trump came along like a bowling ball and exposed weakness in their plan. Now they must speed up their destruction to make up for lost time.
