With the millions of unwanted pregnancies a year, not to mention the countless STD's that destroy lives, I wonder when will the government finally decide to outlaw sex, you know, for the betterment of human kind? Really, the movie Demolition Man seems more like prophecy than entertainment.
It's not lgbtqia relations that are the problem, it's the boring cis-genders that contribute to overpopulation. When a man and a woman have sex there is usually inequality that affects women and there needs to be a law to prevent these inequalities
The socialists will require genetic screening and modification, set limits on gender allowed, assign number of offspring allowed and prohibit any sex without a permit and id card.
Socialists will justify absolute control over procreation to prevent disease, deformity and maintain social quotas to mimic the global population. One year we might need a few more Hungarians or make genetic mods to up production of one of the LGBTQ letters. Animal husbandry practices formerly reserved for cattle and horse breeding will be used for humans.
Of course the main justification is to prevent climate change.
All births outside of government controlled genetics must be aborted.

A more practical (and insidiously evil) approach would be to covertly deploy biological agents on a mass scale that leaves most humans infertile. Maybe through some sort of an 'emergency' inoculation being promoted during a time of mass panic, perhaps associated with some sort of a viral contagion - without telling the people that was what was being done to them.

Well the Government can try to ban sex but how did Prohibition work out? or how about the war on drugs? the war on crime? Are we winning yet?
Then again the officials are telling us that we need more people not less in this country to keep it going and since American's are not reproducing as they should they have opened the border to a possible 2 million illegal entries by the end of the year. What could possibly go wrong?
