Heck no it should not be taught in schools and hopefully most governors get this changed to where is if forbidden. Good golly libs, leave the children alone. You trying to program them? Stop it!
Is this the real life invasion of the body snatchers or something?
CRT is not a way to teach, it’s not honest in its goals and it’s going after children.
For those that like to mock QANON this is exactly how they started. Nothing Q posted ever happened (except we’re way past that level at this point), everyone was gaslit into believing a reality that didn’t exist. Strangely enough Critical Race Theory is making QANON more true than it ever was!
They do not want to correct or mitigate that. You are misunderstanding their values and intentions if you think this agenda has anything to do with improving race relations or solving problems with racism in America. It does not.
OK, you made an assertion what it is not. Why not expand on what you mean rather than having us guess?
Yes. CRT should be taught in our schools. Why? History needs to be taught the way it really happened (good and bad) without suppression of the "bad stuff" which is erasing American History.
I chose GF as an example for a reason. It is something a lot of people want to say is clearly an example of racism and yet that element was nor introduced by the prosecution at all because there wasn't any evidence for it.
Ergo, we're not going to have a teacher hold this up as an example of 'systemic racism'.
Well that would be incorrect, because systemic racism is not about indivudual actions or choices. It's about the socio-cultural system that brings about the outcome. No one should be taking this personally. The systemic argument is that cops will occasionally kill black detainees because that is what the system influences them to do, and it pushes black people more easily into the situations where encounter police. Because that is the way the system works.
In fact the argument Chauvin's defense made was exactly that - that he followed his training rhe best he could in context of a stressful situation. That argument has worked before in many cases and only didn't work in his case because there was so much video evidence and his colleagues did not back him up.
Quote:
We're also not going to allow a teacher to hold up that event and say 'Obey police, children, or this is the result, it is always your fault if you resist in any way, he had what was coming to him'.
It works both ways, that is why it's necessary.
That would also be wrong, but tragically black people can obey police and still get shot.

Yeah, no, it's cool. It used to not be a good idea for teachers to use psychological mind tricks on children to try and get them to think a way that they currently do not to reveal "the suffering beneath the bland façade of ideological concepts like “capital” and “property.”
This ideology is being exposed for what it is and in the end it will not be shown to be a "new way to teach history." This is a radicalization of young adults and children to form a resentment against America, capitalism and even democracy, both representative and direct if we're to believe them in their writings. If the left thinks they're just going to indoctrinate generations of children without anyone questioning that then they are sadly mistaken. You want to know how the second civil war starts? Something like this, coupled with wide open borers, HR 1 and other world events is more than sufficient to cause a rather disastrous course of events. It looks like Obama and friends have declared total war.

It will have to be determined how much "bad" history to add (Juneteenth needs to be in there), but history needs to be taught the way it actually happened and not suppressed/erased.
I know a little about CRT...please read and learn about it yourself on wikipedia here...
