We have the right to protest in this country. January 6th was a peaceful protest against the installation of an illegitimately installed president. Simple as that. And unlike the BLM terrorist riots, January 6th was finished and everyone went home within a couple of hours. There was no looting, no desecration of monuments, no burning, no rioting, there was not billions of dollars in property damages, there was no graffiti. The only violence was against the peaceful protestors.
It was not an insurrection, it was not a coup, the government was not overthrown, no swamp dwelling members of Congress were harmed.
Let me ask you this, you are so outspoken against the January 6th demonstration, how do you feel about the BLM destruction and riots? Are you against them to? Or do you support the massive damages, violence, looting, and destruction caused over the death of a drugged up criminal scumbag?
The violence and death at the US Capitol was unprecedented in this nation's history since the War of 1812. It was not peaceful; it was inept, and in that we are fortunate that Members of Congress and the Vice President were not taken hostage.
It was unlike anything seen before. Even the disturbances this past summer was not the worst this nation has ever seen. The labor wars of the 19th century, white terror and riots in the 1950's, riots in ghettos in the 1960's, were never an attack to stop the certification of the President of the United States.
It was an attempt to overthrow the government and many in Congress of afraid that their incompetence or complicity or cowardice will show.
LOL, a leftist group literally bombed the Capitol in 1983, and the ringleader was pardoned by Bill Clinton and now works for BLM.
Nope wrong again. When BLM rampaged through the country I simply said they were destroying property.
You obviously have to take into consideration what the protesters DID in order to make a case of what they INTENDED to do!
In court, they would ask you to do that.
Just because liberals say the protesters were trying to "overthrow the government," that doesn't make it so.
If these people planned this for weeks or months, geared up with military fatigues and AR-15s, and brought tons of weapons and a plan to the Capitol, then yes, I'd agree with you.
As it was, these were people bearing iPhones, taking selfies, BS'ing with the security guards, breaking windows, and messing up papers on desks.
Yes some of them breached and trespassed where they shouldn't have been. Then, THEY ALL LEFT. After an hour.
For you to claim these people planned to "overthrow the government" and "install Trump as permanent Dictator," is insane. It's like you just graduated from drama school and you're trying to act.
All of this also occurred in a 6 month period where ACTUAL riots occurred with ACTUAL murder, arson, looting and debauchery. Remember when the rioters were trying to breach the perimeter of the White House and Trump had to be sent to the bunker? What was that? You guys just made fun of him ("Bunker Boy"). Was that not "trying to overthrow our government?" What about when they attacked federal buildings and police stations (burned them to the ground actually)? Those are part of the government. You guys downplayed those DESPERATELY, and are now trying to blow this up into something it wasn't. You've cried wolf once too many times.
Stop it. You sound silly.
Nothing to add, just worth reposting.
