Make sure to use other search engines too. Google and Government banning and curtailing sites such as Mercola. (accuse, controversial)

I am increasingly concerned at Google's dominance of the search marketplace. Bing and Yahoo have made no dent in this dominance despite years of trying. Other newer entrants such as DuckDuckGo will likely not fare much better. Those in China and Russia are lucky to have alternative search engines.
-- In 2019, Google started penalizing sites such as Mercola:
While I have not read Mercola's site that often, I see far more controversial sites not being penalized. Mercola might be accused of some quackery, but from what I have seen, he has tons of great info too.
Some high ranking health sites just hire fake doctors to boost their ranking. Others are run by doctors who do not ever author any articles. They just give their name so that the site gets a boost in Google rankings (due to something called E.A.T). Many "Google preferred" health sites leave no space for alternative viewpoints.
It seems like a small number of human employees at Google can make manual action penalty decisions to seriously hurt sites and human knowledge in general.
We as a society need to make efforts to reduce Google's search monopoly. Not counting on it happening, but needed to say so.
I searched for "mercola Dr web site" at google and his web site is the 9th listed, and his twitter is the 4th. Google firsts lists fda warnings and a few other quack before his site.
I searched for "mercola Dr" at duckduckgo and his web site is first on the list, after two ads.
Doctor wilson... he's a conservative who also promotes a strict way of living that essentially works a person to achieve spiritual enlightenment, what he calls "awakening" .. some pretty esoteric stuff there, but overall a positive message that would save our culture if we adopted much of it.
Some of his newer stuff is a bit out there, though I'm sure most of the right wingers here would approve. His argument in one of the articles is dictatorships limit spiritual growth because the way people grow is by making mistakes and learning from them. If you shelter everyone from everything and make them government dependent, growth becomes very limited.
Thus all dictatorships are dangerous. Right wing and left wing. He has an opinion on just about everything. He doesn't like vaccines. He thinks homeschooling is far more beneficial. He strongly believes in the right for people to own guns so they can defend themselves against a dictatorship. He shares a lot of my beliefs, but not all.

Shows up 3rd for me. The first two are FDA and chicagomag.com. It doesn't look like there's an issue with the algorithm.
The point is where he shows up for searches in his domain of expertise that do not include the word "Mercola" in the search phrase. e.g., "Vitamin D health", "Are eggs bad for you" etc...
Google massively penalized Dr. Mercola in 2019 for most such searches (per numerous articles). He even wrote a letter explaining and protesting at what happened.
Nowadays, the biggest player in the health field when it comes to Google rankings is a site called Healthline. In the past, it was Mercola.
I long ago began collecting a list of search engines. The more you use, the easier to find info they don't want you to know. Most of these I never use, but I have them bookmarked just in case:
Google doesn't delete search results as much as it "de-prioritizes" results that are considered against the progressive establishment so you basically have to know the right keywords for the website to even show up as a search result. I like yandex. Privacytools.io also has a search engine...

Is his site the most linked to and referenced site for these topics? The reality is that it is not.
