How are you saying you never once mentioned Latin and Greek high school classes, when right damn there you are mentioning it?

How am I or anyone mis-comprehending you stating "You simply don't belong in college if you don't have foundational Greek and Latin from high school."?
"have foundational Greek and Latin from high school" is not the same as (or even close to) taking "Latin and Greek high school classes". You're purposely ignoring posts like the one below just for the sake of arguing. I'm not sure why.

I don't see how you got that from anything in my post. I never stated there was a relationship between speaking proper English and having learned Latin.

And likewise, there is no relationship between doing proper science and math and having learned Latin.

I'm curious whether your area of study was science or math. My experience with science was quite different. Latin is incredibly useful and in some cases necessary to effectively contribute to research.

I majored in geography and urban planning, but later took some computer science courses. I now spend most of my time writing code (html, css, javascript, C#). There is absolutely no need to know any Latin or Greek to do any coding.

No one said you would need to know Latin or Greek to do any coding...

We're talking about college in this thread... and it appears (although I might be wrong) that you didn't finish college...

Can you give an example or two of how knowing Latin helped you in research.

Not only did I finish college, I have a graduate degree (undergrad was geography, graduate was urban planning). CS courses were later.

Nobody took Greek or Latin in any of my studies, including the computer science classes. Completely unnecessary, and the same is true of all engineering disciplines.

We at least have to learn Roman numerals for the Super Bowl.

This is a non-issue to me. Hopefully no child of mine will attend university to study Classics anyway. Furthermore, they will be learning Spanish, Mandarin Chinese and/or other relevant languages.
