The snowbirds down along the Texas Gulf are an interesting bunch. They hold court in the local cafes, spend three hours nursing a cup of coffee, and can’t let a person enter or exit without a long side eye, often followed by snark. You just want to shake these people and ask why they continue to pack their contempt into a suitcase and come back each year.

One decent side effect of the pandemic is that there are far fewer Canadians here in South Florida. Hopefully that continues.
Not really, as an American I want to hear them, that way we can learn how many things should be handled, including Healthcare in which they have been way more successful.

You should probably move to Canada then. Here in the United States, we are capable of managing our own public policy quite well without depending on foreigners to dictate what we do here.
You’re not American. Nobody is impressed one whit that you pay property taxes for your foreign-owned property. You are still a Canadian. A visitor. A guest. Not a native; not a citizen.
