Being antagonistic is what many people want to be. That was the whole point of this thread being started. When "the liberals" weren't getting upset and some even speaking respectfully of Rice, suddenly some people got upset.
I thought long and hard about something. The whole idea was to be antagonistic. The idea being "liberals will never accept Condoleezza Rice as President. She's a Black Republican". When it became clear that many liberals here actually respect her, it turned ugly. Some even turned against Condoleezza Rice out of spite. In short, this was all about spite.
Condoleeza Rice is probably frighteningly liberal (to Republicans) outside of foreign policy. That’s why she doesn’t touch domestic politics. She couldn’t win a Republican election to city treasurer if her political philosophy became public.
There’s a reason why she won’t go near elective politics despite her popularity. She’s nowhere near being in line with her party’s ideologically.
I haven't seen many liberals speak I'll of Rice, not in the last 10 years. The persons saying the worst stuff about Rice, I hear it more from far-right wing types.

That’s easy. Because Rice keeps her head down. And she does so on purpose. She’s not a political animal and doesn’t want to be. Her gravy train is good right where it’s at.

She's like me. She's better suited for the academia life. I couldn't be President either. I don't have the patience to deal with stupidity.
