Is that what you got from this thread?

Why is telling the truth to someone somehow insinuating that they would be disowned or never spoken to again?
The Progressives play the argue in the silly extreme game to demonize the opponent as their arguments are all EMOTION based. REDUCTIO AD ABSURDUM.

Not gonna happen. My family are all normal people and I am raising my kids to be normal. I have a daughter and a son. My daughters sex AND gender is Female. My sons sex AND gender is Male. This will never change. That is what they were born as, that is what they are being raised as, that is what they will die as.

Personally I think gender is in part biological and you see other species having differences between genders as well. It isn't oppressive to accept that there are genders. No one should say this gender can't be a doctor for example, but there are clearly genders.
You can be transgender but not transracial. Gotta keep The Grift going...

Just wait, they are working their way towards saying everything is a social construct including truth, merit, rationality, science, etc.

It's unfortunate our liberal friends would rather lie in bed with the Marxist subversives than to call them out. They'd rather be silent when they are the ones that are actually the target. The woke never needed to go after conservatives because the conservatives have no real power in any of the major institutions of the US with the exception of the military. Maybe that's even changed. What the woke do have to worry about is the host dying or waking up.

Is Science a Social Construct?
https://youtu.be/bxdBRKmPhe4

This was actually a thesis:

Quote:
Yet when one views the ideals of the physical sciences through the critical lens of ethnic studies, the entire notion of objectivity breaks down. A scientist, just like any individual, holds
countless unconscious socialized biases and can just as easily subject others to tokenism, microaggressions, and other manifestations of deeply socialized ‘-isms.’ Scientific knowledge is but a
particular form of cultural knowledge, and thus any purported distinction between ‘science’ and ‘culture,’ or between ‘science’ and ‘individual’, deserves rigorous examination. With this project, I examine such distinctions between science and humanity, and investigate what applying the unteachings of Critical Race Feminism to physics can reveal about the most ‘objective’ of disciplines.
https://laurenmarietta.github.io/pdf...DarkEnergy.pdf

[emphasis mine]
"All scientist are suspect. Even more so the white ones. And they're all white, mostly. Except the token blacks. That's systemic racism and why all scientist are suspect. Especially the white ones...*hint hint, wink wink*"

I guess they don't believe in peer review

I certainly hope so, for all your sakes.

As something of a side note, I don’t know who came up with the idiotic term "cisgender", but anyone with at least half a functioning brain should categorically reject it. The proper term is gender normal heterosexual.

And there really only three categories of people with regard to gender identity / sexual orientation, gender normal heterosexual, a very small population of people with true physical mixed gender conditions, and those with mental illness, which includes the entire LGBTQetc population. Unfortunately the latter are very effective at generating propaganda.

How is this whole issue not a social construct?

Interesting power struggle dynamic going on here. I’m guessing pushing things like this so passionately will create a blanket tolerance ethos upon this country and ultimately the world in a few centuries. Probably why their pushing socialism nowadays.

Sure I’m a little unsettled at the idea of my children coming out transgender. But I would never disown them. If it makes them happy, fine. What else would I want as a parent? If they really, really, really wanted me to believe in my heart of hearts that they are not the gender I saw them enter this world as. My basic fundamental understanding of reality would forbid it. Humans compare and contrast buffered by common grievance to better their survival chances and denying that is insanity.

Just remember, you’re not playing the same “game”:

Quote:
Strengthening a conceptual relation between “queer” and “childhood” can help to cultivate a culture of critique concerning the interruptive force of heteronormativity on the child’s development and, more broadly, expose asymmetries in how children are treated and the rhetoric of innocence is distributed. ***** theories of childhood may operate as analytics with which to make arguments about social relations between children and the adult world to which they must respond and in doing so invite questions about the embodied vulnerabilities, educational effects, neurological impacts, and narrative implications of discourses of childhood innocence. A vast majority of research on childhood development resuscitates liberal individualism, as it does not consider the sociality of pain caused by the communal experience of violence wrought under racism and genocide.
https://journals.sagepub.com/doi/ful...43610616671056

It takes a real ideologue to see “heteronormativity” as an “interruptive force” on a child’s development. It takes a real sicko to see the innocence of a child as “problematic.”

These folks are not liberal and they are certainly not interested maintaining any sort of civilized society. One gets the feeling they don’t care what the circumstances are, it must be overturned. If they can’t work the false consciousness out of you they’ll work it out of your children.

I'm not losing sleep over people being trans etc.

At the same time, I only have one definition of what a real woman is, and it ain't anyone who was once called Dave.

Nothing oppressive about that.
