I wonder what you would do if someone in your close family announces they are trans, goes for counseling and still wants to switch genders. Would you disown them and never speak to them again? Or maybe take the attitude of live and let live?
Not gonna happen. My family are all normal people and I am raising my kids to be normal. I have a daughter and a son. My daughters sex AND gender is Female. My sons sex AND gender is Male. This will never change. That is what they were born as, that is what they are being raised as, that is what they will die as.
So the latest woke thing I've heard at my school, which may sound crazy today to some of you, but is likely to grow and be more mainstream in the left within 15 years is:
Gender is a human made construct that does not exist naturally. Therefore, believing in gender is oppressive as it constricts humans into a man made paradigm that is unfair.
Personally I think gender is in part biological and you see other species having differences between genders as well. It isn't oppressive to accept that there are genders. No one should say this gender can't be a doctor for example, but there are clearly genders.
You can be transgender but not transracial. Gotta keep The Grift going...
Just wait, they are working their way towards saying everything is a social construct including truth, merit, rationality, science, etc.
It's unfortunate our liberal friends would rather lie in bed with the Marxist subversives than to call them out. They'd rather be silent when they are the ones that are actually the target. The woke never needed to go after conservatives because the conservatives have no real power in any of the major institutions of the US with the exception of the military. Maybe that's even changed. What the woke do have to worry about is the host dying or waking up.

As something of a side note, I don’t know who came up with the idiotic term "cisgender", but anyone with at least half a functioning brain should categorically reject it. The proper term is gender normal heterosexual.
And there really only three categories of people with regard to gender identity / sexual orientation, gender normal heterosexual, a very small population of people with true physical mixed gender conditions, and those with mental illness, which includes the entire LGBTQetc population. Unfortunately the latter are very effective at generating propaganda.

Sure I’m a little unsettled at the idea of my children coming out transgender. But I would never disown them. If it makes them happy, fine. What else would I want as a parent? If they really, really, really wanted me to believe in my heart of hearts that they are not the gender I saw them enter this world as. My basic fundamental understanding of reality would forbid it. Humans compare and contrast buffered by common grievance to better their survival chances and denying that is insanity.
